Advanced DVD ripping and video transaction tool

VidCoder is a DVD/Blue Ray tool for ripping and transcoding videos. It has HandBrake as its core encoding engine.

Ït calls directly into HandBrake library but it offers you much richer user interface than official HandBrake Windows GUI.

Some of the VidCoder features include the support for multi-threading, support for MP4 and MKV containers, H.264, MPEG-4 and Theora video converters, AAC, MP3, Vorbis and AC3 pass through audio codecs, the ability to set target bitrate, video size and video quality, and it has support for two pass encoding.

Advanced features include multi angle support, support for decomb, detelecine and deinterlace filters as well as support for batch encoding and instant source previews. You can also create small encoded preview clips and pause and resume encoding whenever you like.

VidCoder requires .NET 4 framework in order to function properly. HandBrake isn’t required for VidCoder to work.

VidCoder has support for ripping both DVDs and Blue-Rays but it cannot defeat the CSS encryption in most commercial DVDs, and it cannot defeat AACS or BD+ Blue Ray encryptions. In Blue-Ray ripping subtitles aren’t supported yet.

For removing DVD and Blue-Ray encryptions you will have to look for third party applications that can remove encryption on the fly.
