The purpose of Windows App SDK is to bring users a collection of components that will aid in developing Windows apps, and it will provide the next generation of tools for programmers and devs, and even a broad set of API's and many other instruments to be used with apps running Windows 11 all the way down to Windows 10 version 1809.

It will not replace the Windows 10 SDK, or the Windows app types like .NET, Windows Forms, WPF, C++, but it will provide a set of APIs and tools to help devs no matter what platforms they are using.
