WordFIX: Quickly recover damaged Word files with this streamlined tool

WordFIX is a simple and reliable application that can recover broken or corrupted Microsoft Word files. The program can handle DOC, DOCX and DOCM files, and allows you to save them as Unicode plain text, plain text and Microsoft Word documents.

The functional layout is designed in wizard-style, allowing you to load one or multiple documents via drag and drop or by selecting them from your hard drive using the app’s file browser.

There are two recovery modes you can choose between – text data or Microsoft Word –, and once you performed the selection the recovery task can be started. While the recovery process is still running, you can view the currently processed file and a progress bar, as well as the remaining and elapsed time.

In the Options menu, you can change a few of the program’s settings such as selecting the startup recovery session, defining the output subfolder name and file name suffix and turning on the auto-update checker.
