Among the large number of image editing software that’s currently available on the market, X-Gimp stands out as a portable and open-source tool, equipped with a large collection of functions and options as well as a complete Help documentation to help you get started quickly.

Since X-Gimp is portable, you can simply run the executable with no need to install the application. As a result, you can run it from your local hard drive, as well as portable drives like USB sticks and it doesn’t add new Registry entries or modify existing ones.

The application lets you add text onto your images and customize the font, size, color and style as well as various geometrical shapes. There are also built-in erase, heal, clone, smudge, blur and burn tools. Multi-layer editing is supported as well, and you can manage, edit and add layers in the dedicated panel.

Furthermore, there are dedicated panels for patterns and textures, from where you can edit and use them in your projects according to your preferences.

Project saving options support a large number of formats, which include but are not limited to JPG, PNG, PSD, ICO, BMP, TIFF, EPS, GIF, HTML, PPM, PDF and TGA.
