abcMIDI: A handy application fo processing ABC music notation files and convert the tracks they contain to individual MIDI files

abcMIDI is a small tool developed in C language that lets you quickly process ABC music notation files and converting one or all the tracks they contain. The pacage bundles a collection of tools and you can operate it via the Command Line.

abcMIDI bundles various expansions like drum accompaniment, support for microtones and gutar chords. Besides generating musical scores and saving them as MIDI files, the application can also create karaoke MIDI files and handle lyrics.

Users can work with repeat symbols as well as create multiple types of MIDI files, depending on whether the ABC contains voice layers or not. abcMIDI can handle individual instrument channels and assign a new track or chanel to each voice contained by the ABC tune.
Even so, you have the option to change the channel assignment using a dedicated Command Line argument. Using the related commands, you can convert individual tunes in the ABC files or all of them. Other supported commands include the ability to disable common warnings, ignoring fermata markings and using the default tempo.
