digiCamControl: A full-featured DSLR camera remote control application

digiCamControl is a remote control utility for DSLR cameras, that lets you fully control your camera from the comfort of your computer, via an USB cable. The simple interface doesn’t come with any bells and whistles, but it is very functional.

Among the actions your camera can perform remotely you will find the ability to trigger images, view photos on your computer’s screen, create time-lapse projects and take bracketed shots with user defined exposures and shutter speeds.

digiCamControl can display histogram and metadata for photos and can flawlessly handle multiple cameras. All of the settings are straightforward, as long as you’re familiar with common photography terms.

The general settings include options to change the default image viewer and the visual appearance of the program, but also to preview images. Users can snap images using custom keyboard shortcuts which can be defined as any key in combination with Ctrl, Alt or Shift.
