Access the Windows Subsystem for Linux in a convenient way via a terminalWsltty is a software program that allows you to invoke the Windows Subsystem for Linux via the Start menu and the context menu. The Windows Subsystem for Linux is a set of components that make it possible for Linux native binaries to run on Windows. This enables developers to port their code to Windows without having to perform heavy modifications.
Once the utility is installed, you can access the shortcuts and components in the %LOCAL% directory. You can also install wsltty in a folder of your choice assuming you are able to edit the instll.bat script and adjust the parameters for the installation target and configuration folder.
The context menus for the installed distribution are provided by the application but you will need to add and remove the entries you want to use from their scripts. This way, you can access the WSL terminal and set up the shortcuts so you can have distribution specific ones on your desktop.
