If you ever wanted to theme the status bar battery icon on iOS, the Lithium Ion tweak lets you do just that. Of course, you need to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad if you want to get rid of the old battery icon in the status bar.
The tweak includes more than 20 battery icons and even lets you customize their color for the different states of the battery.
Like for any other tweak, Lithium Ion’s options are available in the dedicated preferences pane which you can access from Settings.
Here, you can tap on Themes to browse through the available ones and choose the one you like best. If you want to further customize the battery icon, Color Options is the place to start.
In the Color Options section, you can set colors for each portion of the icon, as well as the battery status.
Another interesting thing Lithium Ion provides is the ability to create profiles. This means you can select any theme, customize it and save it as a profile. You won’t get bored of your custom battery icon too soon since you can create multiple profiles and switch between them as often as you like.
There’s also a section called “Other Options”. There, you can enable or disable various settings like using a secondary theme and hide/show battery percentage and charging bolt among others.
It’s also worth mentioning, changes are applied in real time and you don’t need to respring your device for that to happen. If you’d like to theme the status bar battery icon on iOS, you can download Lithium Ion for free from Cydia’s BigBoss repository.
