[Tip] Quickly access mobile data settings in iOS 10

Despite the laundry list of improvements iOS has received over time, up until now, there was still no easy way of accessing mobile data settings, at least when it comes to default options.

From the Control Center you can access Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings but not mobile data. Even the 3D touch options of the Settings app had shortcuts to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and there was still no shortcut to mobile data settings.

Luckily, iOS 10 introduced a new shortcut for mobile data in the Settings app quick actions menu. True, only 3D Touch-enabled devices can benefit from it, but if you’re the lucky owner of an iPhone 6s, 6s Plus or you plan on purchasing one of the newer models when they’re launched, you can quickly access mobile data settings in iOS 10.

How to quickly access mobile data settings in iOS 10 via 3D Touch

Whenever you want to open mobile data settings in iOS 10, find the Settings app icon and 3D Touch it (also known as force pressing).

The Quick Actions should pop up and among them, you will find the Mobile Data shortcut. Of course, you get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth shortcuts as well, so if you use them often you might want to keep the Settings app icon on your home screen.

This is just one of the small features brought by iOS 10 but useful nonetheless. It lets you quickly access mobile data settings in iOS 10 with no need to navigate through the Settings app menus.

Do you find this option useful or are you using another method to access mobile data settings in a convenient manner?
