How To: Upgrade your iPhone or iPad to iOS 9.3

upgrade to iOS 9.3

IF you’ve been eager to upgrade to iOS 9.3, you should know it’s fresh out of the oven and ready to be installed on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch device. And it doesn’t have to be a new one either since the newest version of the operating system supports all iOS devices starting with iPhone 4s or newer, iPad 2 or newer, and the sixth-gen iPod Touch or newer.

Normally, a minor update doesn’t have too many new features, but this is certainly not the case of iOS 9.3. What better proof than the fact it was one of the highlights of Apple’s special event that took place yesterday?

You can always delay the update, but it would be a shame to miss out on all the new and cool features iOS 9.3 brings, including the much awaited Night Shift mode. If you do decide to upgrade to iOS 9.3, the process is very simple (similar to previous upgrades) and we’re going to detail it below:

Upgrade to iOS 9.3 wirelessly

Open the Settings app.

Navigate to General.

Select ‘Software Update

Click on ‘Download and Install‘.

If you receive a notification on your iPhone or iPad to alert you there’s an update ready, simply tap the Install Now option and you’ll be taken to the Software Update screen.

Note: If you’re running low on space on your iPhone or iPad you might receive a notification asking permission to temporarily delete apps from your device. Select ‘Continue‘ and your iPhone/iPad will make space for the update. If this method fails, you’ll have to exit the update process and manually delete apps and other types of files.

To ensure the upgrade goes smoothly it’s best to have your device connected to a reliable Wi-Fi and plugged in. If you need to use the device or don’t have access to a good Wi-Fi connection at the moment you can always click on the Later option and then select the Install Tonight or Remind Me Later option.
