Secret Disk: An intuitive, lightweight utility that lets you create virtual disks, and optionally hide and password protect them

There are many reasons why you could want a part of your computer to be invisible and inaccesible for anyone else other than yourself. If you’ve been searching for a reliable tool that lets you create virtual disks, hide and then encrypt tem so no prying eyes can get a hold of them, Secret Disk is the answer.

This simple tool has a functional interface and you’ll have to set up a password for the application. New drives can be created and password protection is optional. From the application you can set the drive status to visible or invisible. Also, the password can be changed and the disk can be set to open automatically at system boot.

There’s no need to format your hard disk or perform modifications to the boot sector. Secret Disk remains safe even in worst case scenarios. Should a power outage or a Windows fatal error occur, your secret drive automatically locks and becomes invisible as all the information is stored in the virtual memory.

The application doesn’t encrypt files, but it does limit access to files which is not possible without the correct password.

Anyone can use the free version of Secret Disk but upgrading to Pro will give you some additional features such as the ability to choose the drive letter, an option to disable the application’s PIN, a ‚password under presssure’ security option that (when used) shows an empty disk instead of the real one, priority e-mail support and the option to disable automatic search and notification regarding new versions.
