Slack: A basic chat tool that offers a convenient way to communicate, collaborate and share files with your colleagues

Slack is a small and friendly chat app designed to allow you to communicate and share files with your coworkers, but also provides various collaboration features. As soon as it finishes installing, the program will automatically start and require you enter your team’s domain or create it if such is the case.

Then, you can create accounts and all employees that have an email address from the same domain will be able to register and confirm their address. This will allow them to connect to the app and start communicating with other users.

To accommodate for the needs of a business environment, Slack comes with support for multiple platforms, thus it can be use on Windows and Mac computers, smartphones, iOS devices and from a web browser.

You can view all members in the Team Directory area, online coworkers in the Direct Messages section, shared documents in the All Files pane, as well as find and create new Channels and Private Groups in the same-named sections.
