Prevent Disk Sleep is a straightforward tool that can prevent any local or external disk from entering sleep mode. Hard disks are typically set to enter sleep mode when file operations are no longer being performed.

With this application you can prevent this behavior so the disk will quickly respond to file operations even after remaining idle for a long period.

Instead of manually adjusting your computer’s settings to disable HDD sleep mode, you can use Prevent Disk Sleep. The application will regularly create small-sized files to simulate user interaction and prevent sleep mode.

You can schedule the app to create a TXT file in any local or external disk at a custom time interval. The application will update the document at the set frequency which won’t allow the selected disk to become idle.

Prevent Sleep Disk can be stopped at any time from its main window. However, you can also set it to auto-start at system boot.
