Processes, DLLs and application handlingProcess Explorer is a free utility that contains all the functionality of Windows Task Manager plus a rich variety of extra features that retrieve information of currently active handles and DLLs processes are opened or loaded.
The program displays information in two sub-windows. In the top window you can see a list of all the currently active processes and related info, such as the names of their owning accounts.
The second window displays information that varies depending on the mode that Process Explorer is in. If the program is in handle mode, in the window, the handles opened by the process selected in the top window are displayed. If Process Explorer is in DLL mode, it will display DLLs and memory-mapped files loaded by the selected process.
Through its functions, Process Explorer is suitable for tracking down problems with DLL version or handle leaks.
