ShadowCopyView: Browse through the automated Windows file and volume backup snapshots to find the right one

ShadowCopyView is a small application that lets you effortlessly browse through the backup snapshots for files and volumes which Windows creates automatically.

The program shows a list of the Windows backup snapshots in the main window, within a dedicated pane. Also, there’s another panel where you can preview the files and folders included in the selected backup.

Furthermore, ShadowCopyView lets you browse through folders and access their contents and various navigation controls are provided, like returning to the previous folder, or even entering a folder’s path to jump to it right away.

To find the snapshot you’re searching for, the app lets you choose which columns should be visible for the snapshots, specifically volume path, originating computer or exposed path, snapshot ID, creation time, provided ID and others.
