Steam: The largest games library on the internet

Steam is the largest game library on the internet and the most popular gaming platform. The platform also has its own game store from where you can purchase any games. Once you create an account, Steam ads every purchase you make to your account, building your library. You can also add external games that are not on the platform but it won't benefit from many features such as auto-updating or achievements.

One of Steam's main features is its social features, allowing to connect with millions of people worldwide, team-up with them or simply chat. You can also create and check out various groups on the platform, which closely connects you to the player base of specific games.

The software itself has a stylish interface, not the most intuitive at first glance but once you use it for a while, you get used to all the menus and features. The software lets you play any game available on the platform if you purchase it or if it's free, allows you to view games achievements, played time, friends that are present on the platform and are playing a game-specific shop for games that use the Steam Workshop and many many more.

Evidently, since we're talking about a social platform, you can add friends, interact with them via messages or voice chat, share and more. What's probably the best social feature is the ability to share your games library with your friends, allowing them to play games that you own, for free.

If you're a PC gamer and haven't tried Steam yet, we strongly advise you do. The platform offers everything you possibly want, the newest games (and old), an exceptional social platform that connects gamers worldwide, an achievement and reward system and last but not least, a fully-fledged game store with a lot of features and frequent discounts.
