FocusWriter: An intuitive piece of software that helps writers focus and write more efficiently

FocusWriter is a small application that helps writer focus and write in an efficient manner. This word processor is portable so installation is not a requirement. You can simply download the app and run it from your local hard drive or a portable storage drive.

The application has a plain layout and allows you to load and save files as TXT, RTF and ODT format.

FocusWriter bundles a few essential tools that can help you improve your focus while writing. For example, you can set one or multiple alarms to remind you should take breaks. Also, you can set the app to focus on one or three lines, a paragraph, as well as enter full screen mode.

There are also text formatting options such as alignment, indentation, symbols, a built-in spell checker, a search option and a find and replace function. On top of that, FocusWriter displays statistics about word, page, paragraph and character count.
