Spectrum Lab
3.0 b1Spectrum Lab: A tool to analyze the spectrum of audio signals and generate and decore digital radio amateur communication modes
Spectrum Lab is a great tool for users to help them analyze the spectrum of an audio signal and generate and decode digital radio amateur communication modes with the help of the computer's soundcard and apply audio filtering operations. The interface is not that great for beginners and they might spend some time trying to understand every function and it comes with a few tools made to help analyze audio signals, such as spectrograms, spectrum graphs, amplitude bars, and correlograms.
You can also generate and decode digital radio amateur communication modes, modify the color of the spectrogram, zoom in and out, search for a position in the audio wave, view the intensity of a signal, azimuth angle, and elevation.
The tool allows you to configure the audio and FFT settings, adjust the frequency scale, automatically generate old parts of the spectrogram when changes happen, switch between multiple viewing modes, set the audio sample rate, and start and stop the audio processing thread.
Spectrum lab offers other important features that allow the possibility to scale the FFT sound, insert noise effects, detect signals and work with all types of filters (e.g. FFT filter, I/Q processing), schedule actions and can use the built-in HTTP server.
While testing the software, we've noticed it offers great sound quality while having no troubleshoot errors.
To form a conclusion, Spectrum lab is a good tool that offers a decent set of features to help you analyze the spectrum of audio signals. It also comes with a manual that offers very detailed information to help guide you.
