Prevent Windows 10 from forcefully updating itself, without your permission

Windows 10 was designed to automatically download and attempt to install Windows Updates. Sadly, this can happen at the worst times such as when you have an important task you need to finish. They can also take a long time to complete and sometimes multiple PC reboots are needed.

While Windows Update is difficult to disable and we're only allowed to postpone it, StopUpdates 10 is a simple piece of software that can block the Windows 10 update service.

The application displays a large button that you simply need to click in order to block Windows Updates. Also, you can easily unblock the update service by clicking the same button if you ever change your mind and decide you do want to update Windows 10.

With Windows 10 updates disabled, the OS will no longer automatically update itself. In that case, you can manually check for updates whenever you want your copy of Windows 10 to reach the latest version. It's also worth mentioning that StopUpdates10 will also disable Windows Updates pop-up notifications.
